So this week couldn’t have gone any worse for the Giants. Realistically, Washington will be favored against both Philly and Carolina. They might lose to Seattle but at 2-1, the Giants are going to have to run the table to win this thing. Not looking good.

Winning the division means #19 draft pick at best. Whilst a division title would be cool for Giants fans after a rough 4 years only the most delusional Giants fan wouldn't be crushed by missing out on the division and gaining about 10 spots in the draft.

I totally get that and a higher draft pick would help immensely. However, if there is a year to be subpar and sneak in, this is it. With little to no fans, home field is almost non-existent. The 2 seed playing an extra game gives a better chance of an upset playing them the following week. As a fan, I want to see my team in the postseason even if they realistically don’t have a great chance to win it all.

Giants probably had the toughest final 5 game schedule of all the NFC East teams. Stole one in Seattle last week.

I totally get that and a higher draft pick would help immensely. However, if there is a year to be subpar and sneak in, this is it. With little to no fans, home field is almost non-existent. The 2 seed playing an extra game gives a better chance of an upset playing them the following week. As a fan, I want to see my team in the postseason even if they realistically don’t have a great chance to win it all.

I think what is most important is that the Giants, win or lose, show their competitiveness each week. Today just sucked. The offense and special teams laid huge eggs. The defense started out great but eventually the odds were stacked against them. I guess if I had to choose between the playoffs or a better draft pick, I would go with the 3rd option, just showing a heart beat.
