2021-22 Devo Podcasts

Enjoyed this podcast too, different than most of the SU player podcasts since there aren’t many SU observations other than the TBT. Rice is quite the deep thinker, he really analyzes the game and the psychology needed for teams to succeed. His insight on the influence of the international game, its’ players and coaches was interesting too. Very observant guy, so open to learning. Wonder if coaching is in his future?

Great seeing Tyus in this podcast! Forgot that by the end of the first year of his pro career - Covid hit shortening the season. Tough timing for him. Interesting Devo repeating what Izzo said to him when he decommitted from Mich St and the different reaction of Coach Beilein to Tyus’ decommitment from Michigan. Guess I shouldn’t be surprised, it reflects their demeanor you see during games. Tyus only left in 2019 - not that long ago.

Great interview. Great kid. Reliving his favorite moments at SU. His love for the program, the community, the fans, JB, Devo. Talking about his Michigan decommitment and commit to SU. His travels to Russia and Israel playing pro ball and how SU is known worldwide with fans holding SU signs when he played. AND the breaking news…..he plans to play TBT this summer.

Another interesting Devo podcast. Michael Gbinije’s reflections on his Duke experience, the positives he got as a transfer sitting out a year to acclimate, his thoughts on his senior year when Hop took over when JB had to sit out etc. Hoping the best for Michael and his future.

Don’t forget Buzz Williams boot camp spiel.
