Not could. If you put Herbert on the Dolphins I would think they are a strong contender in the AFC.
Taking Tua over Herbert if Tua doesn’t grow could be a franchise killer.
Herbert could become a top 10 QB in the league this year.
He will be close this year. If Watson doesn’t play he probably makes it at 10Not could.
Hard to have Lamar that high after being exposed in the playoffs every year.He will be close this year. If Watson doesn’t play he probably makes it at 10
Mahomes
Brady
Rodgers
Wilson
(Watson)
Allen
Jackson
I think are locks
Then you got guys like Ryan, Stafford, Carr, Dak and Mayfield.
So I think Herbert could end up top 10 this year just not ready to give it yet. I like Burrow as well but he got hurt.
Very fair. I think Herbert is a lock. Dude is legit and clearly underrated going into the draft. He will be close this year. If Watson doesn’t play he probably makes it at 10

Jackson has a regular season MVP and still young enough to be duel threat.Hard to have Lamar that high after being exposed in the playoffs every year.
Mahomes contract is inventive. He's essentially paid in a series of roster bonuses that guarantee every March. That's more guaranteed money than Mahomes, I believe.

IIRC every march the roster bonus for the 2 years ahead vests until the end of the contract when it becomes the next year's bonus. So a lot of it is defacto guaranteed, but it apparently allows the chiefs to move money from bonus category into salary category or vice versa to manipulate the cap number year to year as they need. Wonder if the bills will do the same?True, he's actually relatively low on the fully-guaranteed scale.
It's about who is next up to get paid. I wonder what Strahan thinks of it. He was killing Daks deal last night. That Allen contract makes you go whoa.
But I am guessing it’s the new market rate.
Crazy. 42 million a year for top QBs now.
The money long ago went to an incomprehensible place to me. Unfortunately I really don’t have the life experience to discern what the practical difference between say $21 million and $42 million is. None of it feels real to me.That Allen contract makes you go whoa.

Dak’s deal is terrible. Cowboys screwed it up.It's about who is next up to get paid. I wonder what Strahan thinks of it. He was killing Daks deal last night.
I don’t think either deal is awful (Dak or Allen) for each team.Dak’s deal is terrible. Cowboys screwed it up.
They only got 4 years. They are going to have to pay Dak again in 3 years.
The Bills and Chiefs extended before their guy’s 5th year.
So in essence they got an extra cheap year.
When you factor in that 5th option Allen’s deal is 7 years.
They won’t have to pay him again in 3 years.
Dak schooled the Cowboys in that negotiation for making him wait.
Allen and Mahomes got paid so they gave their teams longer deals.
No it's not years dont matter as much in an nfl contract as they do in other sports. Plus he's coming off a major injury. If Dak has a great few years and stays healthy he will get another contract. If not they will draft another QB.Dak’s deal is terrible. Cowboys screwed it up.

So glad the Dolphins didn’t take Herbert, but Miami does still have quite a bit of ammo to either swing a trade or take another shot at a QB via trade up, should Tua not work out.If you put Herbert on the Dolphins I would think they are a strong contender in the AFC.

Miami has San Fran first pick in next 2 drafts. So glad the Dolphins didn’t take Herbert, but Miami does still have quite a bit of ammo to either swing a trade or take another shot at a QB via trade up, should Tua not work out.
The cap will go up in the upcoming years and they can always restructure. It's a lot of money but he's every bit as good as Josh Allen and probably better.Years are how you spread a cap hit out.
Dak had major leverage on the Cowboys.
Allen and Mahomes have longer contracts to spread the bonus over the years.
Dak will have to get paid in 3 more
Years and he won’t have an incentive to do anything he doesn’t want to because Dallas franchised him already.
Allen and Mahomes contracts are basically frameworks for lifetime contracts.
Dak is not Josh Allen. The cap will go up in the upcoming years and they can always restructure. It's a lot of money but he's every bit as good as Josh Allen and probably better.
