2021 Yankees Season

Is the Yankees bullpen in shambles -- why was Peralta out there so long?
He largely got out of the jam.

Go Jays.
Go Leylah.
Did you see the other guys Boone has run out there tonight?

Yes. Yes it is.

Luetge threw 36 pitches yesterday.
Green pitched yesterday.
Holmes and Rodriquez pitched two days in a row.
Abreu threw 38 pitches on Tuesday.

Chappie blows.

I was watching the semi's of the US Open instead.
So I assume the answer is yes, it's in disarray.

There is nothing as frustrating as a ball fan watching your bullpen suck. Jays have been there most of the season, but they are now getting bodies back at the right time (Pearson, Soria, Merryweather) so it has turned fairly decent.

Only getting 4 innings from Cole due to injury certainly would not have helped in that regard.
Even getting 2 more innings from him would have helped.

Cut Heaney tomorrow and call up anyone else. Severino might be back sometime this decade I guess.

Boston (W) 80-62 (+1.0) at CWS this weekend
Yankees (L) 78-62 (-) at NYM

Blue Jays (W) 77-62 (-0.5) at BAL
Athletics (W) 76-64 (-2.0) vs TEX
Mariners (W) 76-64 (-2.0) vs ARI

Man. Biggest take away is crucial series and Yankees never led once in any of the 4 games.

Another Aaron Boone giveaway game special with more of his stupid pen management. The guy has no sense of urgency to win a big game. But hey, Green will be rested for the Mets instead of using him instead of 2 pure s buckets when this game was being decided. And how Awful Andrew is still on this roster is a question for the ages. Has allowed 26 runs in 30 innings.

Anyone impressed with a solo shot bottom of the 9th 2 outs down 3?

Apparently Luke Voit was impressed.
This is not only a Yankees thing (Jays took out their HR jacket when slumping and losing late) but a solo celebration when down (and almost out) in the 9th seems alittle awkward.
Yeah, but on the bright side, that hasn’t happened at home since 1908, so that’s a pretty cool story to tell people.

I heard it was mid 20’s on the news yesterday. Either way it’s amazing stat.

Bryan Hoch:
Boone said he plans for Stanton to play the next two games.

Boone said the Yankees are leaning toward Tuesday for Gerrit Cole’s next start. He said the team is “optimistic” about that.
