There are a lot of competent point guards available in the portal. Mintz or Skyy would be great, but the Murray State transfer and Curbelo (though he at times makes silly plays) can fill the void.

Curbelo is too similar to Symir. If we are going to go after a PG it makes sense to go after someone who can make a jump shot.

That would be great but what if we can't find one? The next best option is one who cannot shoot but knows his limits, plays within himself and makes up for the non shooting by running the team well and knows how and where to get teammates the ball. We had that with Sims, and on a higher winning level, Rondo provided that for the Celtics.

The game looks nothing like it did 25 years ago and Rondo was just about the only non shooter on those Celtic teams. We are really going to struggle to score if we can't find some shot makers next year.

Great athlete, funky (Devo like) outside shot (33-34% from three, not that bad). He's got some handles and he can get up. And, like you said, he's played with Benny. I think he would be a definite talent and athletic upgrade. But, you know JB won't play him in front of Joe and there won't be many minutes there. If we have three spots, he would be a great addition, although, as he would be a sophomore, he would not help with roster imbalance. Not a huge concern, because there is always attrition. But, we need a PG and possibly a C, those positions should be the focus.

Yeah, it's easier to hide a non-shooter with three HOFers. SU would not have anything close to that luxury.
