2022 Red Sox Thread

I'm a Jays fan, but would probably be justified for the Red Sox to knock down a Jays hitter today given how Alex Manoah acted in his final inning yesterday. I like Manoah, very edgy competitive and a great pitcher, but he was yapping a little too much last night in that last inning, seemingly unprovoked... unless I was missing something.

Good call. I don't think you missed anything. He was acting like a jerk. Striking out Franchy Cordero and Bobby Dalbec is nothing to puff your chest out at. The two have combined for 53 Ks in July so far. Cordero has struck out 17 times in his last 21 ABs.

Manoah definitely needs someone to sit him down and explain he is making an ass out of himself.
I mean if you can’t strike out Bobby Dalbec you might as well try another profession.

Bloom is one heck of a G.M. Frenchy can't play and you trade to get him for Beni. You trade Hunter for JBJ Jr. Hunter has 19 HR's this year. The entire Red Sox outfield has 21. It is really tough to be that bad.

Please get Plawecki off of my team

And people call Biden feeble. I don’t think he even suffered a scratch. :p

The completely appropriate response to spending over $220M on the roster and still coming in last place in the AL East:

You'll have to refresh my memory on the last time they finished in last place.
I can’t help the fact that Baltimore finally decided not to be a punching bag this year.

If you don't make the playoffs it really doesn't matter all that much where you finished in the standings. Last, third, who cares?

It matters a lot, most fans like a team that is playing meaningful games in September. Yankees are playing meaningful games just about every season and the Red Sox not so much

lol it took you 2-1/2 months to come up with that response? In the off-season no less?

Just scrolling through all the baseball threads, saw this comment that I didn’t agree with and gave my view on it.
Merry Christmas
