you got the seats in the small area that took the big hit for sure.Yea they did a great job with the 300 level pricing. Mine more than doubled. From $225 to $500. 4 tix, an $1100 increase. Glad I could subsidize the $99 seats.

also the seats that sat almost empty all of last year.Or all the $125 tickets that didn’t see an increase.
You and me covering everyone else’s ticket prices! LOL

I wonder what their thought was. It would be pretty easy to jump back a few rows and go from $225 to $350 or $300, or even up a bit more and drop your price by $100. Those weren't options in those sections last year.
If people move, do they assume new season ticket holders will buy them? Maybe they are ultimately $500 seats, but I would have phased people into it. That's a big one year increase.
yeah I would have offereed people in those areas with big hits a transition phase.. I do think people will jump back and pocket the money.. in one sense spreading people out will make it look better.I wonder what their thought was. I bet this was driven by someone who doesn't understand the SU football market. I could see someone coming in from outside saying, hey we did so and so at my last gig lets try it here.
Yeah they hired an outside firm to take care of ticketing and what not
I always thought the order fee covered the cost of mailing season tickets. They no longer mail them out. It’s all mobile ticketing. I’d be interested in the reason for this cost.I know that I'm getting old, but I don't remember paying a premium doubling the ticket price or an order fee last year. Also, the seat cushions got bumped up by $15.
I'm in 117 -- each ticket went up about $100 bucks (so $600 total for season). I itemize deductions so do appreciate the fact that most of the increase was to the donation fee. Not a huge deal but does save me a few bucks.Or all the $125 tickets that didn’t see an increase.

You can’t deduct preferred seating after the Trump tax laws changed. You use to be able to deduct 80% of the cost. Not anymore.I'm in 117 -- each ticket went up about $100 bucks (so $600 total for season). I itemize deductions so do appreciate the fact that most of the increase was to the donation fee. Maybe SU should ask for the money back and then give the money to STHs to ease the pain.
In all seriousness why are we hiring an outside firm? Couldn't we make it a yearly project from kids in Falk to analyze? Ticketmaster has a secondary market, and is a partner of SU. Shouldn't we be able to get that data to get a better sense of the football ticket market value? Don't they use it anyway for dynamic pricing?
If $50 individual tickets are going unsold and STH $50 tickets are going for $25 on the secondary market, that would indicate that you are overpriced. And if that $50 is pretty full and the secondary market is going for $75, that would indicate that you are underpriced.
Didn't we have an issue in 2019 where the individual dynamic price was under STH face value, and it angered some fans?
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but tax deductions for charitable contributions associated with ticket purchases went away in 2018. Working in tax, I have no idea why universities break out the ticket price this way other than increasing the total amount of donors they can claim?I'm in 117 -- each ticket went up about $100 bucks (so $600 total for season). Ooof…an increase of over 100% is insane and I thought my 80% was badHate to be the bearer of bad news but tax deductions for charitable contributions associated with ticket purchases went away in 2018. Regardless, I’m in the $225 to $500 boat and really unsure if I’m renewing.
That’s how I’m feeling seeing my invoice too man. Almost doubled in price. Tough to swallow….. but I’ll do itSo after years of having the same seat I should have to just move away from all the people that I’ve made friends with, give up my aisles seats etc all because they decided to do a 80% price increase on my seat but a 0% on others???????

Before deciding to stay my wife and I had the same conversations you noted in another post. Relationships, etc and we’ve been there for working on year 5 now - not that that’s long but long enough to build an attachment to our seats. Plus, I look being close to the action and where we sit is a really good view of the speed and physicality that I really like when I’m there in person.I’m very much on the fence about what to do right now…and I hate that I feel that way
100% of the donation goes to the Athletic Department. The ticket price is split with 60% going to Dome Operations (General Fund). AD negotited the split,I don't recall there being donations past D. Is that to keep more of the money with Football vs going into a general fund?
I know basketball does not have the third lowest average price in the P5. Also know that the relative inventory of basketball seats we have compared to the average P5 basketball arena so I assume supply and demand will play a role.I think you are using prices when the program was operating at a different level.
I hope the powers that be understand now is not the right time to 'true up' pricing for hoops. It would be better to keep pricing where it is for now and wait until we become good again before exploring this further.

We’ll be 28 & 26 years old when the season starts and it was one of our first purchases together when we were 23&21 lol. A lot of sentimental value to us in good old Section 130!
And eventually why we agreed we would stay; but I must say seeing that $99 option up top was VERY tempting.
