No one on the starting D-line was 300 lbs last year. Bear was around 285 I think

I like Mang at the FB spotWhy? If Elmore can help on D play him. How’s is he going to affective as a 293 pound FB.
They have tried to get transfer help. Cannot make the player come to su. Need to adjust to personnel.
Keep in mind that I have not seen one single person say they didnt prefer a transfer D lineman or two. Thats been the consensus. Our opinion might change in August after they have added a couple transfers and the young D Lineman have gained functional weight.Bear Harper and Black are all bigger than our biggest DL this year. Not sure on actual weight but these were 5th year kids that were bigger and stronger. I stand by my opinion. We are simply too small upfront
For DE?, no.I agree with you but did I see Jatius Geer at 247 lbs!?!?! Wasn’t he supposed to be a contributor this year? Even if he gets to 260 lbs, that is a little on the light side no?
Williams dropped 5 lbs. Queely dropped 7 lbs. Those are probably good drops. Should help both to be more explosive in getting open. But some other added weight for the better. Gadsen added 5 lbs which should make him more physical in fighting for balls and I absolutely LOVE that Hatcher went from 170 to 178 lbs. That 8 lbs could be really big for him and it indicates that he can hopefully keep adding strength over his career here and isn't a kid who just can't bulk up. I could see him developing into one of our top WR's soon.Jackson and Pena each dropped about 10 lbs to 175. For the WR group the majority went down. As money notes I think their has been a real emphasis on functional weight and strength.
The starting OL all went up, they are massive. The younger guys have leaned out for the most part.
