2022 Yankees Season

One very bad inning for Cole.

Manoah-Scherzer-Degrom next three starters we will face. Could Yankees literally be out of first place before September even starts?
Mind boggling how bad the offense has been

Even if they lose out through August, that would barely be a mathematical possibility. Have faith. At some point they will start winning again and widen their lead, and all will sorta be well again.

They are only up 7 games and only 6 in loss column, still have 10 left to play in August. Very possible with how they are playing and the pitching they are about to face. This is snowballing at a rapid pace

How soon do you think they can be mathematically eliminated from a postseason spot?

Yankees will score 18 runs over the next 3 games.

That’s baseball Suzyn.

I’m not doing the math on that, but it’s a real possibility they won’t be in 1st place in a couple weeks. If Toronto hadn’t stunk almost as bad as the Yankees the last couple weeks they might be in 1st now

We're at 73-48. Tampa has the last WC slot now at 64-55. 8 games behind (7 in the loss column). We have 6 games left against Tampa.

Minnesota's on the outside looking in at 62-55.

If we play .400 ball from here on in (winning 4 out of every 10), we finish 89-73

If Tampa plays .600 ball (winning 6 out of 10), they finish 90-72.

BTW: we're 5-15 in our last 20. That's only .250 ball.

I like Paul O'Neill as much as the next guy but why are they retiring his number? Does this make any sense to anyone?....Geezum, there are some horrible decisions coming out of the Bronx these days and it does not just end with Cashman, apparently.

Because Gardy was unavailable tomorrow?

Marwin Gonzalez in RF? Huh?
Maybe let Nestor hit. He LITERALLY couldn’t be too much worse than Hicks, et al. I mean, even a blind squirrel could get as many hits as Hicks (that’s not the saying, but it could be at this point).

Is it just me or do the Steinbrenners seem a bit cold and distant?
