It's been like that for as long as I can remember. The only real question is, given the advent of more modern technology, why is it allowed to continue? I think there's a way to figure it out, but I don't believe there's a will to do it.

It really won't be long before balls and strikes are called electronically. But even then, people will find reason to bitch about something.

As for last night's game, that home plate umpire was hosing hitters on both teams, but it's the last hosing that gets the most attention.
