Men's Soccer 2023 Schedule

Looks like the game will be played. Which is good because it is beautiful here and the forecast is very good for tonight.

Look Cat, you are going to have to make up your mind. And I want those starting lineups!!!

I am going. Will try and get that info for you. Maybe add some observations.

They just opened the gates. Game on.

Starting lineup:

4 Noah Singelmann r full
7 Mateo Leveque l inside half
10 Lorenzo Boselli l f
11 Felipe D'Agostini l inside m
12 Gavin Wigg sweep
13 Nicholas Kaloukian r f
17 Giona Leibold l outside half
18 Nate Edwards r outside half
22 Olu Oyegunle l full
30 Jahiem Wickham keeper
33 Josh Belluz stopper

Buster was in sweats. Appears to have a minor injury. Couple others also in sweats…

Belluz is a big dude. 6’6 207.

Leveque had a great little pass to set up goal 2. Currently 2-0 Syracuse.

Belluz goes up and gets involved with the offense often. Has a lot of freedom.

Team not passing great yet. You can tell they haven’t play together much.

SU dominating play. Bigger, faster, smarter. They have looked good countering a couple of times. SU overplaying in defense big time.

sort of surprised the kid form B.C. isn't starting. Interested in what you see from him, cat

No subbing yet. He wears #99. Appears to be very flashy. Not sure Ian likes that.

5 new transfers starting. Add 1 with Wigg who is a transfer but was here last year.

Subs
1 Jason Smith (keeper)
2 Pablo Pedregosa l fb
3 Andre Cutter-DeJesus r fb
15 Daniel Diaz Bonilla r f
27 Aidan Arber r outside half
12 moved to sweep

Halftime

3-0

Leveque takes most of the kicks. Appears to have skills.

Aidan Arber is very fast and will be a problem overlapping.

Diaz Bonilla is not a great athlete but positions well and know how to play.

Kaloukian had a couple of chances. Might have scored once.

Not sure who scored the goals. Been keying a lot and the SU numbers are small and hard to read from few away.

No PA announcements but they are playing music on the system.

They are playing the same system. Ball control. Wide spacing.

Looks like the forwards this year are a step back from last year.

Half backs look really good.

Defense hasn’t been tested but I think they are going to be solid.

Not much for the goalies to do so far.

The forwards last year are why we won the national title. It is hard to score against good teams.
Those two could. That is why I thought Suski would be important. He has always been a scorer.
To score 40 goals at Loomis is really great. And he could score at B.C. as well.

Lots of subs for start of second half

Almeida in at forward
Edwards still in half outside half
Pedregosa in at left full
Cutter DeJesus moved to sweep
I think Singelmann is playing stopper

Edwards another halfback with speed.

Widman is in. Might be playing right half.

Many corners for SU. They are kicking on the door a lot.

Aiden and Jakheim coming back in next chance.

Rauch coming in next. Lots more to join him. Ian is calling off the dogs.

6
9
16
21
24
26
28
29

All coming in.

Buster spent most of halftime talking to Belluz. They appear to be tight.

I think Tony Shaw is playing sweeper now.

With all the subbing, the game is more evenly matched now.

Gradus at left outside half.

Paganos playing forward. SU player down.

SU player has to be helped off the pitch. It is Dash fav Jackson Glenn. He was smiling and was putting weight on both legs so he might just be shaken up.

Sky getting progressively darker as lightning flashes regularly to our north east.

4-0. 11:50 left.
