2024-25 Coaching Carousel

I don't think I have it in me to go back to a generic middle of the pack or worse P4 QB...we've been spoiled. Its so much easier to win when you have someone good playing QB

Nunzio Campanile

Syracuse, QB Coach

Nunzio Campanile spent part of last season as the interim head coach after Dino Babers was let go. His first season at Syracuse was 2023; before that, he spent 4 seasons at Rutgers, where he first was interim HC at one point. Prior to collegiate coaching, Campanile was the head coach of prep power Bergen Catholic in New Jersey. His connections in the NY, NJ, and PA areas make him a very interesting candidate for this job.

Where is this from / who wrote this?

They played the perfect storm this yr. I wonder where it goes from here for them
SMU is in a great position to continue right along. Access to all that Texas talent and now can offer a spot in the P4 to showcase it. Of course they can flail around like FSU is doing now, but they seem to have their stuff together. IMO they are the biggest winner of the latest round of conference reshuffling.

All those Texas teams are in a great spot and few of them have done much for 20yrs. Even Texas has not been all that great most of the time.

if SMU had not had a back up better than the starter they would be a 5-6 win team this year.

The talent differential between them and us today was downright scary.
