Cignetti, while it was at lower levels, is a much more established head coach than guys like Weis and Tucker. Time will tell but he is a better bet by far

Temple has fired coach Stan Drayton. One early name to watch, I'm hearing is Syracuse OC Jeff Nixon, a former Temple assistant who has strong ties in the area.

We are going to lose Nixon, whether to Temple or someone else, soon. It sucks but that is what having a good coordinator leads to. Happened with the Tall Man too.

Indiana has agreed to a contract extension and raise for coach Curt Cignetti after he has led the Hoosiers to a 10-0 start in his first season.

It’s unbelievable the job this guy has done this season at freakin Indiana. Did Cuse consider him as HC? I can’t remember. (I’m still thrilled with what Fran Brown has done in year 1 of course.)

No but I don’t think he wanted to be in the northeast. The Indiana job suited him.
