Cignetti, while it was at lower levels, is a much more established head coach than guys like Weis and Tucker. Time will tell but he is a better bet by far

Temple has fired coach Stan Drayton. One early name to watch, I'm hearing is Syracuse OC Jeff Nixon, a former Temple assistant who has strong ties in the area.

I'm pretty sure I heard his name for the first time on this board during the search, so some on here were high on him. (Not as high as we were on Mullen or Sam Elliot, of course.)

I remember reading an article where a reporter asked him how he was going to be able to get players to come there and he said that they would come because he wins. I think he's showing everybody that this year.

Strike while the iron is hot...who knows who our QB is next year, chances are our offense won't be as potent, get that guaranteed money while you can. According to google he makes $700K here at Cuse, and Drayton was making at least $2M his first year at Temple...You think Drayton leaves for 3X his current salary? I would.

Was hoping for 2-3 years with Nixon. The O will be completely different if he leaves. Really he has had the biggest impact of any coaches, including Fran.
