I don't know about that, but there is certainly no shortage of qualified guys with connections to Temple, Philly, the Northeast, etc.

Temple has fired coach Stan Drayton. One early name to watch, I'm hearing is Syracuse OC Jeff Nixon, a former Temple assistant who has strong ties in the area.

He's been a really, really good playcaller, so hopefully they look elsewhere.

Temple is not a job you want as a 1st time Head Coach.
They have been terrible almost forever, it's pretty much a graveyard for a coach.
Nixon should stay a couple years here and wait for a better opening.

Temple at one point was a launching point for a Head Coaching career, now it feels like a graveyard. I hope Nixon avoids that job with the full understanding we’ll lose him this year or next.

Nixon would be an idiot to take the temple job. Unless of course he knows the offense was all dependent upon McCord and will take a huge step back next season. Otherwise, if he could get close to replicating it next year, he’d be in line for better jobs than temple.

The offense is largely dependent on McCord, but Nixon has been the one calling plays and would be a huge factor in our ability to attract a top QB out of the portal.

I don’t want to lose Nixon. He called a great game on Saturday against Cal.

Also Temple was an ok job from 2007-2019. The last 5 years it has stunk and it stunk going back to the 80s when Bruce Arians of all people was HC.

What i don't get...the guy has $15M in buyout plus his salary from Texas. He has two seasons of salary and $4M in buyout from FAU...why continue with the hustle? Go coach HS football or some . Why keep grinding? Take a break man.
