2024-25 Coaching Carousel

Does your $6m estimate include or exclude the money directly from SU under the House settlement?

Previous year we had approximately 2.5m. I thought I read somewhere around 20% of the direct NIL will go to mbb, which would be about $4m.

Exclude. I don’t consider that NIL. That would be an extra $3m approximately.

Via a direct contact with a fund raiser for SU's athletic department--all of SU's House settlement money (~20M per year) will go to FB, MBB, and WBB.

Nice to see WW get a job. NC State will be a force to be reckoned with. Shame on our pearl clutching admin for letting a good coach get away. With the ACC down, we should be opening the pocketbook to takeover a very bad league.

NC State has one bad season (following a Final Four season yet) and they fire their coach and bring in a proven winner to get things back on track.
Contrast that with another administration -- which shall remain nameless.

I wonder if Big East schools have an advantage there, as they don't have to spend much, if any for Football

but they may not opt in to the House case settlement and therefore wouldn't have the $20.5 compensation to spend. So far I don't believe any non P5 school has indicated that they will.
