Texas basketball predicted to pursue $5 million 25-win SEC coach after March Madness concludes | Sporting News

Texas men's basketball is reportedly moving on from head coach Rodney Terry, meaning the Longhorns will need to find a new coach in the offseason. Sporing News writer Bill Bender floated the idea that Texas could pursue Alabama head coach Nate Oats.

Over 3 years at Texas, Rodney Terry has a 62-37 record, made the NCAA tournament every year, an Elite 8, and won the conference tournament one year. His buyout is $5.5m. He spent 13 years at Texas as an assistant or HC. Texas is expected to try to lure a big name like Oats. Sounds like a school that is serious about winning.

This is another great hire from the ACC. 2 for 2 on hires for the ACC well done this offseason. This is way more important than the portal this offseason. Getting high quality coaches into the league is the fastest way to turn this league around. Odom and Wade are a great start.

Well, honestly, JB 's stuff was so penny ante. I can understand however, why people far away might think it. Two probations. But Jb was not in the same league with the top cheaters.
