2024-25 NBA Season / Playoffs

As a Rockets fan, Ant has these performances that really remind me of some James Harden deciding playoff games where he doesn’t even show. It’s not so much that he plays bad.., he just doesn’t play at all, leaving the work to others. It’s always in games where his team needs a win to continue but it’s not EVERY game that fits that description.

SU fans will recall he pulled the same crap against us in the NCAA tourney leading to people wondering if he was sick or injured
2009 second round. From the mocks I knew Harden was probably a lottery pick. Hand up I didn't watch a minute of ASU hoops that season, so that tourney game was my first time seeing him play. Left that game scratching my head about lottery status.

as Knick fan I know I am supposed to love Brunson but Haliburton/Siakim > Brunson/KAT.
I'm so curious to see if Hali and Siakam can carry this level of play into future seasons or not. They more or less played like their usual selves or maybe slightly worse in the first two rounds of the playoffs but they have really taken it to another level against the Knicks. Generally speaking, Brunson is a clear top 10 player and KAT is around top 15-20; Haliburton and Siakam are both around the top 20-30 when they're their usual selves but they've obviously both been awesome against the Knicks.

Lebron has 120 35 point/10 assist playoff games in his career. Second place, Jerry West with 10.
You really should have thought about this one before posting it lol. He barely has 50 10 assist games, much less 35/10. I think the actual number is 12 but I counted very quickly.

It’s an internet meme being passed around by bronsexuals.

Yes I remember a lot of people on the board thinking Harden was a bum because of one game and how Flynn was obviously better than him. It was pretty funny.

I dont think it's a coincidence that they have taken it up a level against the Knicks. They have really been trying to exploit the defensive weaknesses the Knicks have. (Also I will say Hali had been more good than great in the first 3 games of the series; last night was an all time performance though)

Stathead agrees with 12 35/10 assist games. He has 32 35/10 regular season games.

He has 63 playoff games with 35 points.

And this isn't even mentioning Aaron Nesmith who is just a shade under a 70% TS% in the playoffs lol, while also playing excellent defense.

I was at game 1, Aaron Nesmith ruined my month
He's generally always been a solid role player since landing in Indiana, but my god man, the way he's played this postseason is like the best example of the exact archetype every team is desperate for.

I'm not trying to be mean, but I don't understand how Kendrick Perkins got the TV gig that he did. He's not particularly insightful, or interesting, or funny. And he was a marginal NBA player, at best. And always looks quasi-disheveled. I can't figure it out.

I wish TNT could cover the NBA 100% of the time.
I have ranted similarly about him. He sounds like an illiterate moose. [ I guess that’s redundant.] I find it ridiculous and insulting that media giants keep hiring people who can’t communicate to be professional communicators. I give a (big) pass to Charles Barkley…,

I never noticed him being disheveled, though. Maybe because I lunge for the remote any time I know he or Steven A are about to be on my screen. Unfortunately, that means I also miss a lot of Malika Andrews. It’s the price I have to pay.

I saw a certain someone who shall not be named was sitting next to Spike Lee at the Knick game last night.

Both games that the Pacers have lost, Haliburton has seemed completely disinterested. I don't get that. It's a closeout game in the Garden and you take 7 shots? Only one starter in double figures? Crazy.
