2024-25 NBA Season / Playoffs

TNT is god awful from an actual analysis perspective but I love the show for the pure entertainment value and banter (like when Chuck mis-speaks and says a player brings a different animal to the table instead of a he’s a different animal or he brings something different to the table )

But these guys don’t even know who is on the teams. Kenny is the only one who actually tries to make legit points and he fails often.
I think Shaq brings the show down, and Barkley has lost the ability to make a point in less than 5 minutes.

KOC seems like a crappy person? I don’t see it. Maybe I’m missing something . He’s seems pretty nice to me. If you tell me Zach Lowe is an Ass Then you have no credibility
Yes you are missing something but that's neither here nor there lol

Lowe is great

I just think KOC is a nerd but has the mindset of the newer younger current NBA fan who loves the transactional aspect of the league more than anything, his ego seems a bit much at this point

Obi Toppin’s performance in the finals makes me sick as a Knick fan.
Nah, don't let it sicken you, his role with the Pacers is different than it would have been with the Knicks. Thibs is great, but Carlisle is better.

It was a stupid trade that made no sense and still doesn’t.

Dolan is in charge and he will be for the foreseeable future, don't sweat it, there is no cure, until he's gone.

Zaire sighting. Decent seats

KD has his preferred trade destinations down to three… Miami, Houston, & San Antonio. Phoenix has made it clear to teams interested that they will make the best deal for the team even if it is not to one of Durant’s 3 preferred teams.

You're a declining 37 yr old star. You have no leverage. I hope Phoenix trades him to Charlote.

Nightmare scenario for all those fake Giannis proposals

Just a reminder that the Utah Jazz could have drafted Desmond Bane with the 27th pick in the 2020 draft, and he would have been a perfect fit and filled several roster holes at the time, in such a way that maybe the team is more successful and it makes more sense to keep Mitchell and Gobert together longer, but instead they picked lumbering Kansas center Udoka Azubuike, who pretty much immediately flushed out of the league, when they already had Rudy Gobert as their starting center, and they were weeks away from giving him a super max contract, and had Derrick Favors as the NBA's most expensive backup 5 under contract, meaning they used their first round pick on a position where they vastly outspent every other team in the NBA, AND THIS DOESN'T UPSET ME AT ALL STILL, NO I'M NOT BITTER, WHAT EVEN MADE YOU THINK OF ASKING THAT.

That’s a lot for Desmond Bane.
It's really the draft picks.

KCP is cooked, and Cole Anthony is coming off the worst season of his career and isn't really a needle mover. They did a crazy great job turning the remainder of KCP's overpay contract into Bane.

It's a lot of draft picks but they're gearing up to try and be top of the heap in a shaky Eastern Conference. I love the move. That's what they're trading for, the chance to compete.

Here's hoping it's a hot trade market. I really like when it's a dark horse team like Orlando making moves. The buzzards should be circling the teams expected to be at the bottom of the standings to pick off their guys (Durant, Markkinen, etc.).

I feel like Detroit may need to make a move. They're on the rise but could benefit from an accelerator.

I can’t imagine other GM’s are happy with the picked haul Memphis received. Price just went up for a lot of guys.

The market went a bit out of whack for the Mikal Bridges trade... this sort of follows that, with Memphis also taking on a poor contract.

20ish picks are crapshoots anyway, and I assume the Magic are making this trade thinking they are that level.

The trade only becomes an issue if you fall out of contention before the due dates on the draft picks. And it does limit "next" moves. You have to be sure it is the right piece.

Sounds like someone who cares less about winning and more about cashing in.
