2024-25 NBA Season / Playoffs

Feels like a bonkers trade. Like the rockets are bailing on all that got them to a 2 seed, for the promise of a stats hero who doesn’t really make his teams that much better. They’re giving up a lot of draft picks, which may be on the low end, but for how many years of Durant? He’s 37, and will probably want to force a trade out of Houston after two years….

I agree. I think it fails miserably.

Rockets really aren’t giving up much here. How is trading Jalen green and Dillon brooks bailing on all that got them to the two seed? Brooks is a good player but Jalen green kinda sucks and certainly wasn’t the reason they were any good.

Yeah you keep Thompson Smith and Sengun.

Green stinks of the next good scorer, bad team guy.

I think it’s a great trade for Houston. They needed a go to guy and have defenders to back Durant up

Green is young in years but he’s had FOUR full seasons in the league. Players that make the “jump” to the next level generally do it by the end of their 4th full season. This isnt MLB where some guys just figure it out after 1800 at bats .

He’s an explosive athlete and great in transition but he’s limited in the half court and low key has a very weak handle. He has an inordinate number of turnovers where he just loses the ball under no duress .

In terms of winning, Brooks is the much bigger loss from my standpoint . But to swap him for even a diminished Durant is a no brainer.

I think they need another ball handler , preferably one who can shoot the 3 at a 37% or so level clip , and may already have that in Shepherd.

What a bummer.

Durant, Dame, Tatum, now poss Haliburton

Something is obviously up with how they are training or calf injuries or something
And none of these guys exactly plays an above the rim explosive game that you would think would stress the Achilles relative to others

Almost as if playing with a partial tear can result in a complete tear
I didn’t know he had a partial tear. Only a calf strain. My assumption—not even playing a doctor on tv— was that everything he did to rehab the calf, in an an intense hurry, may have weakened or overstressed the Achilles.

Haliburton is a crazy loss for the Pacers, but it's no sure thing that OKC will win this.

I've been an OKC believer for a while but Indiana has the grit factor.

OKC fouls on every single possession, daring the refs to make the call.

TJ is on fire, but has dribbled himself into a corner trap like 4 times.

arrrrggghhhhh

Why does Stephen A have to scream everything? Why can't that dude be gone?
In elementary school, he was held back twice and was the subject of ridicule among his classmates.”

Soooo… angry and not bright. Or, angry about not being bright?
