2024-25 NBA Season

KAT certainly confirmed beyond a doubt who won the TWolves trade last night.
Julius put his flaws on full display after an inspired hot start, then lacked class by going straight to the locker room without greeting his old teammates. Regardless, I have empathy for Julius b/c he was a warrior for the Knicks who gave his all. Julius played hurt, and was a big part of the Knicks' turnaround to be competitive again.

And wow after a tight Q1 the Knicks blew it wide open -39 assists while making the TWolves look so bad their fans were raining boos from the stands and many left early.

Wemby is phenomenal, but appeared he and his teammates ran out of gas.
Great W for the Knicks -glad they ruined Wemby's 42 point party.
And nobody questioning Mikal Bridges now!

took the live over at halftime. Easy W

The NBA as a TV entity has lots of issues:

— Partnered talking heads' overemphasis on gossip over actual play and constant sh***ing on great players
— Playoff bloat
— Meaningless regular season (hand-in-hand with above)
— Playoffs turn into a referendum on the MVP
— Nightly uncertainty about stars' playing status
— Playoffs are an injury lottery
— Players don't care about the ASG

I've also noticed that there doesn't seem to be any consistency on when games start. I’ll tune into a national game at 6 and sometimes it'll start at 6:05 and other times not till 6:15 with no explanation. By then I’ve switched to something else. No other televised sport seems to have this problem; I'm shocked that advertisers put up with it.

And that’s before the actual on-court play with teams taking half their shots from three, triple-doubles losing significance, etc.
Yeah teams hoisting 90 3s a night is obscene.

Knicks and OKC are both very good. Thunder D in second half has been legit.

Wemby coming into his own. Got the best of Joker last night and forced him into a turnover to close it out. Averaging 30/10/5/4 over his last 10 on 50/40/88 shooting.

I think Wemby was gonna block the sombor shuffle so he tried to pass it and threw it away. Insane. The guy is an alien

The Cavs are on pace to win 72 games with a roster that the average American sports fan probably couldn't name more than one player on off the top of their head.

And he could legally drink in the United States for the first time 3 days ago. Insane that he's doing this and he's like 5-6 years away from beginning to enter his prime.

Lakers with AD and LeBron lose to Mavs with no Kyrie or Luka. JJ will have a reason.

OKC and Cavs was class A hoops last night. Cavs definitely attacked SGA on D. Agree with Scalabrine that tactic will be in full effect come playoffs - make the stars work every second they are out there.

Both those teams are legit.

This is a friendly reminder that Stephen A Smith predicted Scoot Henderson would be a better NBA player than Wenbanyama

Okc punched the Knicks in the balls tonight

It's because he loathes the French.

To be fair, he probably only saw the two of them in that one televised game against each other when Scoot was awesome and his team won. Silly take from a serious NBA analyst but that's not what Stephen A is.

OKC is impressive and SGA is/was unbelievable. If they can fit Chet back in and keep everyone healthy...
Chet needs to get a good stretch in when he comes back, I think with a healthy Chet OKC will cruise to a title. his injury history is starting to add up though he’s played in 89 out of a possible 198 games in his career so far.

Rockets and Memphis had a spirited contest last night . Houston pulled it out 120-118 thanks to unconscious Jalen green. So inconsistent and frustrating, that one. When he’s on, he’s an unstoppable force. When not, he’s a self stopping farce.

Rockets now 3-0 vs Memphis .

There were moments during the game when the Clips were up 40 before the Nets scored 40, up 50 before the Nets scored 50, and up 60 before the Nets scored 60. Also, the game was tied 21-21 at the end of the first quarter.
