He is originally from Pittsburgh but when to St Frances Academy in Baltimore to finish HS.

We might have a chance but it looks like the high profile guys are not players we are targeting.
I was really hoping for that kid that went to West Virginia that is now in the portal. The linebacker. Guess not???

Sounds like he turned down Belichek and UNC who was offering him a huge NIL deal. Miami as well. Took less to go to Oklahoma. He still is going to making several million dollars but UNC wanted him bad.

The sad thing is that nobody has any how to fix it in a legal way.
well, i think the reason its difficult to control is becuase everyone is still trying to act like this is still amatuer athletics. And frankly, since the court cases, NIL, transfer free for all, new rev share agreement, now the Juco thing...its hypocritical to not call this what it is...a pro league.

Every other pro league has a commissioner acting in interests of the league/owners and player unions for intesters of the players. College football has agents, free agency, tv contracts, merchandise deals, etc.

Once the powers at be stop pretending this isnt a minor/semi pro league, they'll get their act together, and hire a comissioner and put together a rule set for everyone.

The only obstacle is getting everyone on the same page. The BIG/SEC juggernauts do NOT want parity (which is what a comissioner acting in interest of the league would desire). So I envision them taking their ball home and playing amongst themselves.

There is simply too much money at stake.

I think they should go U23 and contracts with buyouts. Seems like the fairest thing for all parties.
