I expect Syracuse will be very active in the portal.

With rosters expanding to 105 some players will be asked to leave and other will leave for their own reasons. Fran will not pass up an opportunity to upgrade the talent on the roster.

The portal doesn’t officially open until next week but rumors are already very active.

I heard a very promising young player may be headed to the portal. I hope it’s not true but young men away from home for the first time have been known to make foolish decisions. Coach Fran doesn’t play. If he doesn’t believe you’re Committed, that you Care about the program or that he can Trust you (CCT), then leave. Coach Fran doesn’t lack any confidence that he can replace players who aren’t all in.

Fran believes it when he says nobody is bigger than the S. Did you hear his answer in the presser on Saturday about uptick in recruiting? He’s going to get guys and will replace anyone if they’re not bought in. He doesn’t doubt his ability to win on the recruiting front.

He’s also been mixed in and has gotten a little bit of playing time. Doesn’t strike me as a guy in the doghouse but who knows. There will be lots of rumors but I trust Fran will keep the ones he wants to. The only exceptions will be someone who prioritizes getting top dollar vs playing for Fran / playing time. We can’t win if someone wants to cash in.

I would be surprised if it's Tremble. I think he is ticketed for a much bigger role here.

Fran is very excited about the talent he is about to land and is even more confident about being able to replace whoever might leave.

It's going to be an exciting time to be an SU football fan over the next few weeks, starting with Wednesday.

Nothing would surprise me but this one would. Guess it would fit the context clues though.

However he was the most active on the sideline this past week during the game and his parents have still traveled for road games even while he was sitting out.

So at what point does the program know how much they have
in the NIL till for 2025?? Not being an insider (which most of us
aren't), the whole process seems to be very fluid and any specifics
about the status of available $$ is held close to the vest by those
running the show. At some point there will be multitudes of books
written containing some very interesting and probably amusing
anecdotes regarding the madness that is NIL and the portal.
