In case anyone else is wondering “A "do not contact tag" is a designation used in the NCAA transfer portal, where a player indicates that they do not want to be contacted by other schools because they already have a good idea of where they want to transfer to, essentially meaning they are not open to recruitment at this time; only the player can initiate contact with schools if they have a "do not contact" tag on their profile”

Yeah I was surprised to see this was even a thing. Who is being protected with a Do Not Contact designation?IMO a “do not contact” tag is a strong indicator that someone has already tampered with this player. How else does the player “already have a good idea where they want to transfer”?
The portal isn’t the problem. The tampering with no accountability is the problem.
Kids who want to transfer back home or have a pre-existing relationship with coaches, that don't want every school in the portal reaching out. It's not all shady. IIRC JJ Starling was a DNC when he announced his transfer.Yeah I was surprised to see this was even a thing. Who is being protected with a Do Not Contact designation?

I assume Elijah Robinson has a past relationship with Doyle from 2021 season at A&M. 56 tackles and 6.5 sacks as a 6'-3" 255 lbs DE at UNLV last season. Wonder if there is any interest there. He was a 4 star inside linebacker coming out of HS.
Does that tag also imply that the player had contact with his new school prior to entering the portal? In case anyone else is wondering “A "do not contact tag" is a designation used in the NCAA transfer portal, where a player indicates that they do not want to be contacted by other schools because they already have a good idea of where they want to transfer to, essentially meaning they are not open to recruitment at this time; only the player can initiate contact with schools if they have a "do not contact" tag on their profile”
