We were involved with him 2 years ago.

When we lost out on Filipowski [to Duke] and Mulvey [to Iowa], we pivoted to this guy and I thought he would be a great fall-back option.

Picked Providence, then [puke] Georgetown.

Doubt we'd be interested at this point.

Didn't he totally outplay Estrella in an AAU game, which generated SU's interest?

We’ve made contact!!

Last season MaGee had 2 fewer steals and 11 fewer rebounds than Bell has in his 3-year Syracuse career. One of Drexel's better defenders. I assume we will ask him to play PG (kidding) (kind of).

Texas and Xavier are probably for the same coach. Maryland and Kansas will be tough. Only one more year of eligibility.

He'd be fine as a starter at the 3 for a one year rental.

This would appear to be a very solid add. 44% from 3 on almost 6 attempts per game, rebounds, apparently plays some D.

However, Maryland, Kansas, Texas on the list

That’s good because they are good programs with great talent. I’d rather have that list than a bunch of mid majors. Has a lot of the skills we need.

Magees numbers on Evan Miya are so so. Best offensive bpr but only 1.32 and 5th on the team in defensive bpr at just 0.06. Are others on the list seeing him as depth or a major contributor?

Estrella could be a possibility. There’s rumors that Barnes might retire after this season. I believe Estrella is also coming off foot surgery. That could be a problem.
i was under the impression that red covets players coming off surgeries/injuries...did I miss something?

One thing I want to see is Red getting players who fit his original description of fast, transition, in-your-face m2m defense, space and pace basketball. Lampkin did not fit. I want to see him pursue and get players who fit his vision.
lampkin went to the tourney every year excpet with SU - he wasnt th problem - at all.

he passed he dished he played team ball...he could easily be on a run and gun team with the right teammates

Cooley travelled West to visit him and of course JB didn't, if I recall correctly
