It probably can't be stated enough...contact with player agents is permissible any time of the year. Kilne has been doing it since before the season started. Most of these players, just like the players at SU, have agents. The "do not contact tag" often means that a deal has already been negotiated between the agent and the school. I'm sure some programs also have direct contact with players before portal entry. I would be surprised if SU is one of them.Eventually, all the elite guys who enter the portal will have "do not contact" tags. Meaning, that as a program, if you're going to succeed in the portal (versus just getting scraps), you have to embrace tampering. Most of the "serious" programs are already doing it. I hope Cuse isn't above doing this, as we've already lost guys due to other programs doing it.
