I look at Choppa and JJ as an either/or situation, at best, and the indications are that Moore wants to move on. Since Kiyan plays the same position, it's pretty clear that Moore is likely gone.

Very much agree. The only reason I prefer Moore over JJ is that I think without a reliable jump shot, JJ is as good as he's ever going to be(unless he decides to put some effort into defense, he's athletic enough to be a solid defender).

If I had to put money on it:

• Donnie- Back (Melo helps here)
• Choppa- Gone (Big East school)
• Bell- Gone (West Coast school)
• JJ- Back
• Cuffe- Back
• Petar- Back

We WILL get a starting high level caliber PG (staff is prioritizing this above all, aside from keeping Donnie, and Melo will help here too). We will also get a good center who will be more of a defensive presence.

I really hope you are right. A high level point guard can offset mediocre coaching and will help Donnie, Sadiq and company look good offensively. I’d like to see a running/transition team.

It works in reverse too. A bad point guard can make a team and coach look worse than they are.

It’s already being reported in Kentucky that Pope has locked up a major portal player even before the portal opens. They want a defensive minded point guard and a wing shooter, just like everyone else.

Goes to show that there isn’t a tree that grows elite PGs, which is why we are screwed
