i know the weather is a major factor but it always amazes me how low in the attendance rankings a proud program like cornell is. they have to find a way to get those numbers up...

yale and penn's figures aren't very impressive either. the whole ivy league...princeton is the best with 1,300 per game. p sure class of 52 stadium can seat 3-4k. not good

It shows you weather matters when the Harvard game had almost 3000 and the SU game has like 900.

Hockey is drawing close to sellout over a much longer season so fan support in town is still possible.

A couple random games this season probably bring that average down too. I doubt there was a huge crowd for the Utah and Manhattan games that literally happened during the work day. Also would be higher if we found a way to have Army and Duke on a weekend.

The remarkable thing, SU still drew almost 4k (3,981) fans for a midweek game, that started at noon, for the Utah game. That's an average home game for Hopkins, which got quite the boost with their Maryland game.

The worst games for SU, I believe were their matchups against Manhattan and Colgate, each drew a little under 3k. Still, their worst games are better than other top programs most attended games. That's really impressive.

I'm Surprised that UNC is only averaging about 2K per a game. Dorrance Field is a great place to watch a lacrosse game and holds around 5K.
