2024 Fall Ball

This will be my second year officially doing season tickets. Last year they were 80 bucks. Now they are 85, but there is something about a donation amount on top of the ticket price for an additional 40 bucks? There is no way that I can see to remove the donation amount when buying the ticket. So either it is a massive 50% increase in the season ticket price or there is something different they are doing with preferred seating for season ticket holders. Or there is just something we did differently buying them last year that I can’t remember. Apparently this is also a thing with basketball season tickets but I have never got those before.

Any idea how to pay the normal season ticket price? I’m not paying 125 for season tickets since that is hardly even saving money on the games. Miss a couple games and that is almost same as paying for each individually.

General admission season tix are $99.

Reserved seating is either $125 or $150.

Last year we had reserved seats and paid 80 bucks. There was nothing about the additional 40 dollar donation

SU overhauled the tickets for Lax. There used to just be a reserved section which was really two sections on the team side and then a general admission for everywhere else.

Now they have a small reserved section for the first few rows in 101 and 130 and then a bigger reserved section for the entirety of 101 and 130. The rest of the Dome remains general seating at $99.00. The price increases reflect the new individual seats and re-organization of the reserved areas. There is no way to lower the price of each location or opt out of the "donation". The donation aspect has been in use for fball and ball for a number of years and was held off on lax until the seating was done.

Damn. So does this also mean individual game ticket price will be going up even more? If tickets are still 20-25 bucks for the walk up crowd, you are not saving a ton of cash buying season tickets for 125 bucks. I am probably going to miss a couple live games for one reason or another anyways. I’m sure bball and fball saw a season ticket price hike too, but doubt it was a freaking 50% increase! That’s insane no matter what we are sitting on

Also the concept of a mandatory included donation in the price is so freaking lame, even if it was a long time thing in other sports. You jacked up the price 50%. It is not me donating anything

The donation aspect counts towards your donation level for SU which is big for those who have fball or bball season tickets.

Thank you for providing the crash course in this stuff. That is irrelevant for me unfortunately. Avoided season tickets in those other two sports, mostly because I am able to mooch off of friends and family for a ticket to those games here and there. Will probably just do the GA season tickets for lax this year.

SU uses dynamic pricing for individual season tickets. For example last year the Manhattan game I think was like under 20 bucks a ticket. Maryland and Duke were I think 30 or close to it. As such if you buy individual tickets the pricing for each game will likely be different depending on the opponent. I hear ya on not paying 150 a pop, your best bet is just to get the 99 dollar ticket and sit on the General Admission side, thats what most of us do for a number of reasons.

Yeah that will be my move as well i guess. 80 bucks for a reserved seat last year was a no brainer. Seemed too good to be true so i guess im not too surprised at the increase
