Tough one. There are still some good players in Section III. The area has been loaded with the lower end DI talent lately with lots of guys going to schools like Fairfield, Marist, Siena or opting for the top end DIII schools.
I'll preface this with that I'm primarily familiar with the big Section III schools and primarily Liverpool who is replacing an awful lot this season but has been competitive. A couple of upperclassmen who have looked good. Brazell (Attack) at JD is very good but I believe committed to Providence. Both Belloti and Lockwood at WG are very good players and higher end DI players. I actually think Belloti will be a better college player than Lockwood and is committed to Loyola. Boyle at Syracuse is a sr and off to Albany
A couple of younger kids. FM has a really good looking freshman in Tyler Burns but he is 15 years old so really young and small. Fulton who is typically awful in lacrosse also has 2 high end freshman. Not sure of their names but they really stood out in the game I saw against Syracuse and took over. Chris Doshna, who I believe is a Sophmore at Marcellus, looks like he could definitely be a high end talent and already has good size. He does it all and plays midfield, attack, and takes face-offs. He is definitely one to keep an eye on.
Some other guys going DI I didn't mention as you seem more interested in the top end talent. I know the Pool goalie has been committed to Umass and the older Michaud to Fairfield. Kerwick from Skaneateles is going to Bucknell.
