2024 QB

The collectives should stand outside the Dome before every event with Salvation Army style pots and have people chuck their change in.
Every player needs to wear a Dr. Pepper logo, and get some NIL for being in Fransville.

Heck. Lets give out dr. Pepper helmet stickers and let the Doctor pay for each one.

I'll change our mascot to a gecko, if Geico wants to give $1M in NIL a year...

Temple quarterback E.J. Warner is entering the transfer portal. The son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Kurt Warner set single-season records in passing touchdowns (23) and 300-yard games (four) in 2023. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Its verifiable by the amount given by collectives. This does NOT count any company deals, cars, etc...

Top 10 in the portal get about $500k
Top 25 in the portal get about $250K. Top 100 get about $100k.

All we need is $3-7M and we're going to be great in recruiting, and the portal.

Unfortunately, by all indications, these numbers are not sustainable annually at Syracuse. It's sad that it's become so apparently unfair at this level.

You can't afford great players out of HS and then get all of your diamonds in the rough or developed players snatched when they get great.

ND isn't even going to recruit HS QBs anymore. They'll just get a new veteran FA every season.

Great if you have a rabid fan base and your NIL is flush, not so great at private schools whose community and alumni are lukewarm to football.

It's all great for the players, just stinks to be a fan in this new paradigm.

Maybe hoops can still compete as the gross numbers are less.

He didn't come to Syracuse with Beck here.
It probably doesn't help that Rattler declared for the NFL earlier today. He has a shot at being QB1.

Could SU offer a round it program at the concession stands where the donation goes to the collective. It technically wouldn't be SU donating directly to the collective, much like McDonald's collecting change for Ronald McDonald house.

I thinking recruiting soft skills will matter less than ever

I think SU should allow Orange United to do a 50/50 raffle at every football and basketball game.

The Syracuse Mets 50/50 is a huge success for the Rescue Mission and you check a website for the winning numbers so you do not need to be present to win.

Maybe we should be doing a 50/50 raffle for the Rescue Mission instead of trying to raise millions of dollars to line the pockets of 18 year old kids who play football.

Wasn't there something (state law) that prevented raffles at SU games? Has that been changed?

I wish there was more transparency with NIL, it's all very confusing.

Matt Rhule is quoted as saying: "A good QB in the portal costs $1 million, $1.5, $2 million" in NIL. He says Nebraska is taking the developmental approach rather than trying to buy a QB. Jeff Sims from Georgia Tech h was a huge bust for them this year.

Rhule loves lowering expectations and buying time

Nebraska fans must hate this so much
