No chanceDoes Boone get fired? That stupid move of Cortes instead of Hill in Game 1 set the tone for the whole Series. The Yankees win Game 1 on the road and the Series takes on a whole different feel and scenario. He's the longest tenured Yankee manager never to make it to a World Series and when he finally does he commits a huge blunder and they just might get swept to boot.
No. Boone isn't the reason why the team cannot score runs.Does Boone get fired? That stupid move of Cortes instead of Hill in Game 1 set the tone for the whole Series. It looks that way now, but despite Judge’s failures in the postseason I still think it’s his team.Who does Soto want managing him next year.
He gets the deciding vote.
You want the team to be aggressive but you don't want them flailing away. One thing that has helped them all season is that they have been patient. But, good pitching usually beats good hitting. And as was brought up on the broadcast, it's like they are hitting against Koufax and Drysdale
He should send you thanks for helping him get a raise. He is there to make one H0t Take after another, provoking either enthusiastic agreement or profound disagreement. He scored a bullseye with you.
It got late early.
I can’t imagine the Yankees are going to outlay the amount of money it will take to sign him. My guess is they resign Torres roll with Dominguez in CF and try to go cheap in left field. It looks that way now, but despite Judge’s failures in the postseason I still think it’s his team.
No, not me. All I ever do is quickly scroll past anything with his face or name on it. When he appears on my tv, the channel gets changed. I don’t ever click into his stories or videos. Even the thing I just posted— didn’t watch that video. The caption was enough to piss me off to post my one yearly rant about him. Still want to know—who DOES like/respond to/watch his BS? Who and why?He should send you thanks for helping him get a raise. He is there to make one H0t Take after another, provoking either enthusiastic agreement or profound disagreement. BTW, you should hear him talk about UVa basketball. After we won in 2019, all he could talk about was the "double dribble" non-call in the Auburn game. He's waiting to see who we hire as a replacement before he dances around the room that tony Bennett is gone. He is very happy about it, though.
I wish, but as a Sawx fan, I’m pessimistic on this. Why wouldn’t they pay him? They have the money. They like being in the WS. How many NY Post headlines could they tolerate if Soto went over to the Mets?I can’t imagine the Yankees are going to outlay the amount of money it will take to sign him. One game at a time. It's not impossible until it is.
They have the money no doubt. For some reason they don’t like to spend it wisely. Maybe they work out a deal with an opt out after 3 years or something. I think the Ohtani contract set the standard though and teams will throw big money at him. It will be interesting to see if the Yankees try to match.I wish, but as a Sawx fan, I’m pessimistic on this. Why wouldn’t they pay him? They have the money. They like being in the WS. I’d be quite content to see Soto on the Mets or Dodgers, but the money is going to have to be six degrees of ludicrous for him to jump out of his current situation, in a park that just helped him achieve a career year.
Only if the game goes 23 innings.
