I feel like I'm the only one that is pumped about the schedule. It's all Q4 cupcakes or top tier Q1 games on the road. Huge resume wins if we take down a big name but not impactful to the net if we lose. There is a reason that almost all tourney schools now schedule this way. It builds confidence in rosters with all new guys early, builds momentum for the program and it juices the Net. Finally we caught up.
Last few years the talent, coaching, and just everything was not at the level it should starting in November and there was also a huge problem at the Dome. There was never any momentum and really just no reason to get people excited at home.
This year the schedule looks much different. Outside of a really tough early test with Tennessee I don't see a game at the Dome that is unwinnable. The hardest ACC game at home being a UNC squad with more questions than answers and a floundering Athletics Dept in general that just lit tens of millions on fire with their Football gamble with Old Bill.
It's also possible we run through almost all of December and January without losing. Really unheard of that we spend the majority of our December and Jan winning games instead of just waking up every other day with our Net plummeting.
And extra bonus points making Clemson come up to the Dome New Years Eve to kick off ACC play ha.
