ore and TT are avg about the same per play, but Oregon extended 4 drivesWith the field position they have had, Oregon should be up 17+.
Totally agree. I have a good friend who’s a diehard Oregon fan. Went home for the JMU game but told me they won’t attend again unless the Ducks make the championship.Shame these games aren’t sell outs and on campus. They have to make this round on site next year. Stop trying to force it into bowl game stuff. I can tolerate semi and final in bowl game
Venue but spare me the rest.
I used to keep track of big east bowl records and even rooted for Rich Rod and West Virginia in bcs games thinking it would strengthen the national perception of the conference. It never mattered.I tried, but couldn’t do it. I like the concept of rooting for your conference, but the SEC and Big Ten are still the big money players. Any success teams like Miami or Texas Tech have just means those teams will get poached by either the Big Ten or Big 12. I don’t know if Miami’s success really strengthens the ACC in the long run.
I was listening to some national commentator (don’t remember exactly who) that basically said they don’t view Miami as an ACC team. Like what?I used to keep track of big east bowl records and even rooted for Rich Rod and West Virginia in bcs games thinking it would strengthen the national perception of the conference. It never mattered.
If the ACC, in this case Miami wins a game it is because of the long layover or if an Big18/SEC team loses a bowl game it is because it did not matter to them. If they win it speaks to our superior the conference is compared to other leagues. It never matters how any other league performs. Even if Clemson/FSU/Miami wins the story is well that is the only good team in the ACC. No one ever says well Georgia/LSU/Georgia are the only good teams in the SEC or Indiana/Ohio State are the only good team in the Big18. Ohio State played two good teams this year and lost to them both.
The talking heads say over and over again how much superior the SEC and Big 18 are and it always goes from opinion to fact. I have always believed that the weak teams in every conference are weak and the good teams are good regardless of conference affiliation.
We were a solid team with warts. The wart was a big one and that was nothing serviceable for a QB after Angeli.Miami was the one talented team in the ACC. But he is a bad game coach and they played down too often to other teams' levels.
SEC has about 6 talented teams
B10 has 4
B12 has 2ish
Acc had 1
If Miami played like they, could they go 13-0 and get the bye thats on the coaches,
Then SEC/B10 had about 4-5 more solid teams that had warts.
ACC had none
I’ve been thinking the same thing, so I looked into why Irvin is always on the sideline acting like he just drank 40 Red Bulls. A source I know in the industry who would know told me that Cristobal asked Michael Irvin to come back and help with the program. His job is to be a hype machine (aka cheerleader) for the team and keep the players motivated. He’s doing a great job of it. Cristobal wants the old players around the program, much like Fran Brown does.getting sick of all the michael irvan shots. dude needs to take a seat and let these kids enjoy their moment.
Most of the game has been spent in Texas Tech territory. The field position battle has been massively one-sided.ore and TT are avg about the same per play, but Oregon extended 4 drives
Why have they run so many plays? Because they've dominated the game despite numerous self inflicted errors coupled with the fact that Dan Lanning is a meathead.for all thats happened make the FG and dont fumble and its tied at 3.
Feels like Oreg has been in control but really they are struggling on offense but have run so many plays its covered up. TT has like 10 tackles for loss
Make the FG? It was a 54 yarder, not a gimme by any stretch.for all thats happened make the FG and dont fumble and its tied at 3.
Feels like Oreg has been in control but really they are struggling on offense but have run so many plays its covered up. TT has like 10 tackles for loss
TT 60 yard drive due to one play.Ore one 60 yd drive and two 40s. TT with one 60 yd Drive.
TT better be looking at what the QB is seeing cause he is reading most every play wrong
He never waivers, he’s the college football version of Dan Campbell. He does it all the time. I dont necessarily disagree with you and it can be maddening at times but that is MOLanning coaching this so poorly. Its fine to go for it when you are the better team, but they are the team getting all the field position breaks and he is messing with fire
And TT outside of one play has close to zero.Sure, But theyt only have 200 yds
A generation of viewers were just gobsmacked that Syracuse was ever good enough to play in an Orange Bowl. They just showed footage of the SU Florida Orange Bowl. That was the last Orange Bowl played in the original OB as opposed to Dolphins Stadium.
