So many fun parallels in this game.
Mendozas father played high school football with Cristobal. They were teammates.
Mendozas mother played tennis on the University of Miami tennis team and it is her alma mater.
And Mendoza grew up a mile from the stadium where the NC will be played.

Torn on this one. Hate Miami. But would be a plus for the Acc. Sway me
There is plenty of reasons, but for me the main one is Indiana got here the right way, undefeated, and won their conference. They deserve the story book ending. Miami is lucky enough things broke their way after two losses to even have the opportunity to be here.

I don't see how this is a plus for the ACC.
This benefits Miami. They don't care about the ACC.
Conference championships and clout are becoming more and more meaningless.

It's going to make Miami richer.

Is this really a question? Why would anyone root for the Big Ten over the ACC? Go Miami! ( As much as I might otherwise detest them.)

Want Indiana to win by 50.

Miami beat enough teams to show the ACC isn’t a joke.

The SEC isn’t in the title game.

Can’t wait to see who plays Coach Cig in the movie.

I am pulling for Miami. No, not because it will benefit the ACC. Not because IU bought a great team, Miami did the same. No, I do not like Miami.

I am pulling for a Miami because it will give the B1G a black eye. An overrated conference, that overspent-fueling the wild-west madness, knowing they are $200M in debt, knowing that as a state school, they have protections from foolish spending and operations, basically, you cannot force the sovereign to do what it does not want to do. At least as a private school, Miami must balance their books or close.

Basically, for me this is a choice between two schools I have almost zero interest in and the only thing I can find to differentiate the two is one suck minutely less than the other. Yet, I will watch... Unless it gets out of hand. Once drying paint becomes more exciting, I will move on.

I will always root for the meteor in games like this. However, because NASA hasn’t detected one in our relative vicinity, I’d like Mendoza and his boys to put this one out of reach by halftime. Conferences and schools be damned, this kid deserves the Cinderella ending to his college career.
