Gatto is up for it as well as james jones of Yale. They are on the same level as Gerry .

It will pay more he will def look at it.

Even if it would he may think in the long run it wouldn't be beneficial for his career. He may stay at Siena another year with the hope he could get a better job thsn that next year.

So no coach will take the job? At some point tomorrow isn’t guaranteed and a better salary is worth it alone. Hubris is also in play

BC is in the ACC still. Someone will move up mid major and grab it. The agents are prob ringing Blake off the hook including Mac. Leverage will matter too for him.

I doubt it. It is just a horrible job. Every agent out there understands that.

Siena is an unserious midmajor hoops program. BC is an unserious P5 program.

You don’t just so easily say nah not my thing as a 2nd year head coach with a chance to move into P5.

I’m out here in Siena land. People don’t even know how to spell basketball or have any sports for that matter. Sure they’ll be excited for a tourney but year after year it will always be the same.

At BC people will understand if he doesn’t succeed in the ACC. At Siena if he has a few bad seasons or even just 1 or 2 then even teams like BC won’t be calling.

Just saying he doesn’t even need to turn BC into some powerhouse. Just moving them up to the middle of the ACC would have better programs watching.

He has seen 4 coaches go through there in his time as an assistant alone, and 3 of those coaches have all needed to restart their careers after. Perhaps he really does think he’s the one to overcome the massive amount of challenges but I’m certain he isn’t looking to do more than 1 stint through the low majors

He’s probably not ready at all, but he definitely isn’t jumping to put his name in. This isn’t like the NFL where you just get another crack at it 5 years later, at BEST he becomes a lifer there, and at worst he may never coach college basketball at a power level again
