I heard yesterday on a TV sports talk program that James Franklin really wanted the FSU job. But I guess decided not to wait if it will become open.

Cal is gonna lose JKS the same way they lost Mendoza and Ott. They were supposed to be a doormat ACC program and ended up swinging above their weight 2 years in a row, although I know last season didn’t end the way they wanted it to. I think Wilcox is a great coach. Makes me wonder if Aaron Rodgers has something planned behind the scenes similar to what Andrew Luck did for Stanford

Tosh is a great recruiter. A bit like Fran but obviously he has the extra DC chops.

Watched the Cal Stanford game and Cal had all the markings of a poorly coached team. 128 penalty yards which I think they said was their most in 9 years. Illegal substitution penalty after a kickoff, etc. It was also odd that Ron Rivera, their gm, was working the refs and running along the sidelines next to Wilcox.

I do wonder if they’ll regret making the change, though. Firing Sonny Dykes seems like a pretty dumb move in hindsight.
