2025-26 NBA

This is a completely dead league as far as I'm concerned. I've been a Knicks fan for a long time, I've watched around 80% of games going back years. This is the first time in my life the team has had an extended run of success and relevance, but I've watched maybe 2 total games since the Olympics. Watching Olympic hockey and having to go back to the NBA completely killed my interest in the NBA. It is simply a horrible product with no signs of improvement. Something has gone terribly wrong when someone like me who watched almost every game of the Derek Fisher era Knicks is now saying I have no enjoyment watching the NBA.
At no point in that paragraph did you help us understand what makes it a horrible product, and why there are no signs of improvement.

There is a competition problem in the league. Too many teams don't want to compete. That said when it's two teams that care (want to win,) the quality of play is insane.
In my opinion this "the NBA stinks" stuff always is highlighted at NCAA tournament time when fans confuse close games with well played games. Duke vs UCONN being the latest example.

Well said. The shot making in the nba is so good some people confuse it with a lack of defense. Many times the shots are very well contested but the offense is just better.

And anyone who watches the Celtics when they are moving the ball and making the extra pass for a great shot just doesn’t understand basketball.

There’s no such thing as “freedom of speech” within a private enterprise like the NBA. Words/actions have consequences - whether you agree with what he said or not - and he found that out. Have no fear though, I’m sure he’ll monetize all of this through some “woe is me” persecution grift, which is all the rage these days.
I wonder what (if anything) the CBA says.

The Spurs Nuggets game was incredible. Just unbelievable stuff.

Also worth pointing out that the Bulls still had to pay him for the rest of the season. They just got rid of a guy who was seemingly annoying the out of everyone (and also probably going through some kind of serious mental breakdown)

Yeah once in a blue moon outside 40pt blowouts you’ll find a game like that.

Hopefully more to be had in the postseason. All I really care for these days is ball in May.

A team nobody is talking about right now that is on absolute fire is Atlanta. They have won 18 out of their last 20 games. They were four games below .500 when they traded Trae Young. Now they’re 12 games above .500.

They played a great game with the knicks tonight. Their starting lineup has been one of the best in the league. Alexander-walker was amazing tonight.

The Athletic has an article projecting the first round of the playoffs. Denver and the Rockets meet in the first round. That was a conference final only a couple years ago.

It looks to me like San Antonio and the Thunder in the Western Conference finals, and San Antonio kind of has their number this year, don't they?

I don't really like any of the teams in the East that much. Two months ago, there were maybe 3 potential contenders. Now, they all look too flawed to me.

Atlanta, the Clippers, Hornets could all steal a playoff series.

I think "conduct detrimental to the team" language is pretty broad to cover situations like this. And it would really only come into play if there's a contract (money) dispute.

Its funny (sad) that Kerr's speechifying gets nothing from the league or the team.

The NBA is in such a bad spot with the superstars that there needs to be an article published on who is and who isn't eligible for post-season awards. Such a joke.

Joker is just like MJ from the late 80s to the late 90s and Lebron from the late 2000s to the late 2010s. He's the best player in the league and should be MVP every year, but voters want to mix it up.

He leads the league in PER, VORP, BPM. 8th in scoring, 1st in rebounds, 1st in assists. He has over 1/3 of the triple doubles in the NBA this season.

Swipe to see them all.

Who had the JW signature shoe? 😬

Knicks were on MSG at least in the NY area. Celtics cable didnt have them?
Nope. I was bummed. Looked like it was a decent game even with Brown out and Tatum not having a good shooting night.
