I see most of SU’s top targets at guard still in the portal. I still believe we get one.
I don’t think the staff ever thought they could afford to spend a significant portion of funds available on a top tier center. Center from George Mason along with Aussie would be a very solid combination.
Need another bench scorer too. I am not panicking yet.

The wing mentioned visiting yesterday tells me the staff fully understands the bench scorer need to. We will get someone good at PG and C that will get the job done and fil fill the need to flip this thing - have zero doubts at this point.

Allenspach is a liability on defense. He doesn't seem like a fit for GMac.

That doesn't bother me. We weren't tied to 3M and I really like him. I think we are working behind the scense. I think we will get two good players to play the pt and the 5. Who? I haven't heard a peep. We could be back in Europe for all I know. And that wouldn't bother me a bit.

Really like this Dual pickup, even as a starter. Excellent defender and has improved pretty noticeably each year on offense. Definitely some spacing concerns at the moment, but hopefully we can grab a second guard and a wing who can help address that in some fashion. Something quite appealing to me about having a legit stopper at guard, idk.

Would also prefer one of the 2 (3?) bigs we bring in to be able to knock down a 3 or two as well but it seems like most of the guys we’ve been linked to in any fashion are not in that mold. Obviously could be stuff happening behind the scenes but who knows lol, not me that’s for sure.
 
If you asked me my optimistic take, we're going after attainable backups right now while the big dogs go get their guys. Which, like it or not, seems like a good strategy.

We're probably feeling out who might be available when the dust settles, and lining up the priorities at PG and C, and then we'll try to compete with/overbid the middle tier. This should result in a decent enough roster to get us a tourney spot with better coaching.

Pessimistic take - Dual is the PG starter, in which case, see you in the new coach thread in March.
 
This team as it currently sits is going to struggle to score 60 a game in the ACC. I hope they have the money to land an elite PF/C and a scoring wing.

Not an insider, but there is a chance I can figure this out.

Geographically, it’s likely that the player is from a school west of Syracuse.

I will continue to try to identify this potential transfer.

And how many of them are for players that will be expected to play significant minutes? Obviously we don’t know yet, but it’s safe to assume at the current moment the roster we have appears to be offensively challenged.

We can also assume that the current roster won’t cost a ton and we can afford higher end offensive guys to balance things out. So, let’s see what happens!
