In an article posted by Niel Adler, he said Syracuse has interest in Fielder, Owen Freeman out of Creighton, and Bukky Oboye out of Santa Clara. All three would be really nice gets but I’d prefer Bukky or Fielder. They can shoot it.

Based on last year's stats, Fielder seems like the best of those 3 by a wide margin, but Freeman had better stats earlier in his career

Minutes were cut from 26 to 12 dont know why the minute cut but his percentages were about the same. Maybe injury? Maybe coach? Maybe player

He got hurt early in the year and never bounced back right.

I think those might have been best guesses about who the targets could be, but Neil does get good intel. There was no mention of Fielder in the update I saw, but Essandoko was on his list (yikes).

If Essandoko is anywhere near the team next year, there was a massive recruitment failure of big men they wanted over him one would assume.

I had mentioned in a few threads I like Fielder. He isn't a heavy banger but was good I believe for 14 and 6 a game this past year and was able to drill the 3. Would be a great pickup. We are going to need 4 guys crashing the boards next year though because of that lack of a glass cleaner force. I do think that White has the edge to be a helluva a rebounder. It will be interesting to see what AO does with him.

Freeman got one of those biggest NIL deals in the portal last year and he just completely fell off a cliff. I think it's the exact type of guy you take a swing at in the portal. He's not going to come at top dollar but the ceiling is right there with the top dollar guys

May be the best option Syracuse can get unless they have any chance with Hines. But the fact that he is currently on UConn campus and they need a big badly and he basically Reed 2.0 that seems highly unlikely.

his freshman year at iowa he was big 10 freshman of the year as voted by the coaches and the media. was voted freshman of the week 9 times. 2nd most ever in the big 10. was 4th in the big 10 in blocked shots. 13th his sophomore season only playing about 1/2 the season.
