Oh my gosh, I think Gerry should issue an apology statement to the fans for the delay in getting guys signed that he wants because it isn't happening in a good enough pace and leaving the fans waiting. Perhaps he should throw bags at guys at his 9th and 10th options on the board that would take the offer in a second just so he gives us something to talk about. Who cares? Gerry main focus is getting it right and the best players he can that fits what he wants to do. That's how games are won, the team that are able to sign the players the fastest in the portal cycle. I'm fine with a minor inconvenience if it means getting it done right in the end. Whatever that means for Gerry.

I understand their is a timeline to everything but our rivals are closing players out let's do the same

The pitch has to be when the money is the similar in two places, this is how we can develop you better to increase your market value for raises here or the portal, or professionally in the NBA or abroad. Which ties into reputation.

GMAC is still unproven at this level. We have not been relevant in years. This isn’t just about money. At the end of the day, the portal will be much easier going forward if we return to the tournament this year. There are a lot of ways to win basketball games, we don’t need name brand guys to make the tournament. We need efficiency on offense and guys who are willing to rebound and play defense. I like the current adds, and believe we are a 1-2 pieces away from being a solid team. A lot hinges on who we get to play center.

Luke Murray is competent and is building it the right way, I feel GMAC is doing the same. Different ways, but doing it right. The major difference is Luke doesn't have people that are losing it because there isn't people there that really care yet. GMAC does have people that care lol.

Well Providence and BC might both have a better coach than us right now, so that might play a role.

I would have loved for us to go after Benjamin, I think he's a much better player than Folefac. Now it seems that we won't even get Folefac... I'm still optimistic with so many players left in the portal, but until we land a bigger fish, it's hard to be confident we have the funds that we were promised could only be possible with G-Mac.

I'm not going to dispute your eye test, the data suggests that Folefac is a better play right now.

It used to be about 24,000 every game with a few 30,000 games. That would be a great pitch but it’s not happening until we’re consistently good and stop getting terrible game times. And that would still be a stretch.

Sure. There's a 700+ page thread discussing these guys. I'm supporting G-Mac obviously, but to dismiss the other guys (even Murray, who despite no MAAC HC experience was a two-time champion designing UCONN's offense) is also not a good idea.

Nobody is dismissing them. But to make a statement that they are both better the Gmac is just funny.
