This one is interesting in that he put up video game numbers for 2 years at Tulane but didn’t really see the field at Oregon. Might be a nice bounce back opportunity for us.

The Clemson kid is going to get offers from everyone. Firenze is someone we have a great chance to land. I hope he is a fit and gets an offer. This is where I trust a guy like Kehres and DB Coach. If they like the film then let's see what happens.
Same here Tom.The Clemson kid is going to get offers from everyone. Firenze is someone we get a great chance to land. I hope he is a fit and gets an offer.
One of the top portal guys last year took theat Oregon and ended up getting jumped on the depth chart by two true freshmen. That’s one of the downsides of the portal—you might get paid, but you can still end up riding the bench. Money only takes you so far; if you want to go pro, you have to get on the field.
Only 1 window to transfer Jan. 2 -16 there used to be 2 windows 1 in the spring and 1 in Jan.I just read a post from DraftKings that 31.5% of all college players are in the portal. If true...or even close to being true...that's insane. The system is broken.
Our new DB coach Eliano started following him(Clemson kid), maybe there’s a connection. Also, he’s a Georgia kid, guessing Fran recruited him. Maybe there’s a chance. The Clemson kid is going to get offers from everyone. Firenze is someone we have a great chance to land. I hope he is a fit and gets an offer.
Yeah, but that’s clearly not the case. His ultimate goal is the NFL, and you can’t get there without actually playing. He didn’t see the field this year, and your window in college is only so long. Every season spent on the bench is a year you can’t get back, especially when development and game film matter more than anything at the next level. If I had a job where I got paid but two other guys ended up doing all the work. I’d be okay with that, I wouldn’t feel like I came out a loser.

Nice, he has to miss Dinosaur BBQ, right?Caporale, Kehres, Stork and Eliano now following him on Twitter.
Mostly true, which is why we need to bring in players that value other benefits as well as getting paid for their services. That’s what recruiting is now. A meat market buying talent. I’m sure a bit of whether you like a coach is considered, but money will win out almost always.
