Injury concerns aside, this was my favorite for a “splash” signing. More so than Tucker. I still like Bellinger a lot, and I think he is a good fit, but with Tucker and Bichette off the board, I’m afraid Boras is going to play his hand hard and the NYY are going to be on the outside looking in.

I’m a Yankees fan and I was so disappointed that the Yankees didn’t pursue Tucker at all. I can’t be surprised though because Cashman does that way too often (Not even making Bryce Harper an offer back in 2018). Bellinger is a good player but he’s not worth the 7 years he’s asking for, and the Yankees’ current offer (5/155-165), is the most I’d do.

Bellinger is a good player, but the Yankees absolutely can’t be done. Go out and get Peralta from the Brewers and add some bullpen pieces!!

You can say it's a spoiled attitude, but even with the team winning 94 games last year, it was the most tedious season that I can ever remember watching. Always getting kicked in by above .500 teams, always losing the 3rd game of series that should have been sweeps, always losing in primetime. Every year under Boone they collapse between June and August. They can't get timely hits. They're extremely lucky the rest of the AL is mostly terrible, and even that isn't as much of a guarantee this year.
