2025 End Of Season Coaching Changes

yeah, every time we returned a kick from inside the 5 instead of calling a fair catch and not taking it at the 25.

Brutal.

Also not knowing how to handle punt returns.

The blocked kicks, almost blocked punts etc.
I honestly thought the returning of kicks instead of the fair catches especially at the end was to see if we could generate any explosive plays due to the anemic offense.

Nepotism ? or maybe E. Rob takes a demotion ? in my opinion he should have been the 1st one to go and #2 Dale Williams.. both have failed miserably.
I have a feeling we are going to be pumped by additions on the defensive coaching staff. And super curious who comes in at OL and whether that person has a connection to Brown, Nixon or our most recent WR coach…

Making moves fast. Looking forward to seeing who they get.

Best of luck to these assistants. Hope they find new gigs quickly.

Were special teams a fireable offense this season?

I guess in the aftermath of the Notre Dame game they were?

I also agree with whomever posted that we had a LOT of really stooopid returns,
where a fair catch was the far better option.

OL was the most glaring to me - far too often we had dudes blocking air, while defenders crashed into the backfield unimpeded.

And of course - DC.

Now, maybe he can keep ERob - IF he demotes him to either co-DC (but NOT playcalling),
or simply just DL or DE's or whatever.

We’re gonna see Fran blaming a lot of people for his own failures this week. Let’s hope he gets a lot more right this time.
He took responsibility the whole season? Didn’t put the blame on anyone else but himself. So yea he’s obviously going to
Fire who he needs to.

Fran said a lot of things over the past 2 months. I think most people have stopped paying attention to what the says. Firing nearly half his staff, which is where we’re gonna end up I suspect, is letting his actions tells the world that a lot of the failure were on them.

I think Erob will stay, but he won’t be calling plays on defense. Hopefully the offensive line improves now that Dale is gone. The DBs relied too much on grabbing this year, so that coaching needs to get better. I’m also hoping for more staff changes—especially on the defensive line and maybe adding more defensive coaches overall. I want better tight end play next season too. It feels like they just stopped using their biggest and most reliable guy in the middle of the field.

So you want to keep the bad coaches, then? Yes or no? He’s taken the blame for the whole season, and now he’s fixing it by bringing in the right coaches. I don’t really know what to tell you, man.
