Fran said a lot of things over the past 2 months. Firing nearly half his staff, which is where we’re gonna end up I suspect, is letting his actions tells the world that a lot of the failure *we’re on them.

I think Erob will stay, but he won’t be calling plays on defense. Hopefully the offensive line improves now that Dale is gone. The DBs relied too much on grabbing this year, so that coaching needs to get better. I’m also hoping for more staff changes—especially on the defensive line and maybe adding more defensive coaches overall. I want better tight end play next season too. It feels like they just stopped using their biggest and most reliable guy in the middle of the field.

E-Rob's official title is Assistant Head Coach (only one who has that title) and Defensive Coordinator.

Is he going to be AHC and DT coach, or lose AHC altogether? Seems like he wouldn't stay. He could probably make a lot more money being DT coach at a bigger school.

Not fire himself. But NOT fire the guys who could not do their jobs as effectively because of Fran's decisions.

If the ST coach refused to do something demanded by Fran, fire him on the spot. Not after the season.

If the ST coach failed to take the initiative to fix something that Fran was not also taking the initiative to demand being fixed (when all of us fans were seeing the obvious issue, then both are incompetent. ST is just a fall guy.

If the ST coach was telling the players not to return kicks and they were. Yep, you need new kick returners.

If the ST coach and Fran just never really clicked, then I guess a move gets made. but why not give THAT guy a chance to resign though?

This has the stink of firing a guy for Fran's decisions or failures though, which is not DART.

How about we just get to "competitive in all but 2 games"? If we lost by 3-10 points to all but Miami/ND... I think everyone would feel better. But we looked like an FCS team against BC and UNC... two teams that were 1-15 in ACC games not involving Syracuse.

He’s doing that then? He’s trying to fix things already? Yes we all know Erob needs to go but Dale is gone so that a start. The OL was horrible this year couldn’t get any push or open any holes.

Coaches that were fired today will not fix the bigger issues. They were not decision makers. Or play callers. These firings were trying to appease people. Guess we will see. There will be improvement with healthy quarterback.
