2025 Fall Ball

Whoops sorry I misread your post. Thought you said defense. I did have a double take on White because I've never heard of him playing defense. Kempney seems a bit like a player without a home. He didn't see the field at all last year and was playing SSDM. I like Pike but thought maybe the staff saw him starting out as a SSDM which does happen. Good to hear he's staying at O, think that bodes well for having enough bodies at SSDM. Pike is an interesting recruit, think he's been under the radar with Hahn and others getting more pub.
I have no inside information about this, but if you remember last fall the midfielders were all kinda playing both ways, right? At least that was what I remember from the scrimmage reports. I wouldn't be surprised if we're reading way too much into the jersey colors for the fall.

That being said, I'm definitely in favor of getting lots of guys looks at SSDM. Pike didn't put up impressive offensive numbers in HS against maybe questionable competition (compared to Rawson, Hahn), and his hudl highlights don't show a wide range of skills. However he looks big and athletic, kinda like Peter Dearth. I'd like to see him at SSDM.

start leo on attack, put anderson on the first midfield line and try to get him matched up on shorties in space

both are more dynamic players than deere...
If the pick game is going to be a decent chunk of the offense in 2026, then Deere can definitely operate within that. He's good in the two-man game. Maybe with Anderson or Leo. He moves well off-ball too. Maybe with Thomson out there, also getting Deere on the field is tricky.

Need to know how Hahn is integrating! Second line needs to be impactful this year if we want to win on MDW. Hopefully McCarthy got after it this summer and came back more sharp after last years minutes.

Only played 3 games in 2024 and redshirted due to an injury, I guess.

2022: OCC
2023: OCC
2024: 3 games
2025: 15 games
2026: ???
diego pavia, who will be qb'ing vandy again this year, and his lawsuit has created at least for this year an exemption for juco athletes. it probably will continue, that juco doesn't count against eligibility, as it's not nc$$.
so geb's eligibility situation would look like this:
2022 - juco doesn't count
2023 - juco doesn't count
2024 - injury redshirt?
2025 - 1st year of eligibility used up
2026 > 2028 - 2 or 3 years of eligibility depending on if he had a medical in 2024

as of now I beleive you only get 1 year back of JuCo no matter how long you played, that isnt likely to stand up in court, but as of now I think he only gets 1 extra year, but hes still a junior for eligibility purposes and by the time he runs out of eligibility he might have gotten yet another year

it's actually the nc$$ that's going to have to win an appeal in federal court. actually 2 appeals.
pavia only played 1 year of juco ball, but the ruling was that juco years don't count, and they ruled as to pavia specifically for an injunction against applying that rule. the nc$$ then issued the blanket waiver for this year, buying time as they filed an appeal (against all juco years not counting).

the initial waiver also said "as long as all other eligibility requirements met". but jett elam blew that up in nj federal court recently as he didn't start at juco, but rather an nc$$ school, and then did juco in-between. he won, effectively gumming up the 5 year rule, too (i.e. regardless if you take 3 years off to surf in hawaii, clock starts when you take a class @ nc$$ school). so now they have to win that appeal, too.

if vegas had odds on the nc$$ winning (including an appeal of any win) after all the losing they've been doing, i'd be going contra hard. the "waiver" (which it's not, they were enjoined from enforcing) will be extended. imo.

yeah, it shouldn't matter but just about nobody scrimmages and then plays a team.
this is a game that should be made every year. shame.
Solid fall ball matchups here — gritty, disciplined Army and a skilled Princeton squad. Two very different looks, high-level lacrosse either way.

Unfortunate neither will likely be on the regular season slate. I’ll be there. '52 is a great place to watch a game.
