2025 MLB Season

Random stat

These 3 game series first started in 2020.
The teams that won game 1 of the series are an astounding 16-4 in game 2.
Teams that lost game 1, only won the series 2 out of 20 times.
Very strange considering the relative randomness associated with a minuscule sample of games in a series . I’d expect the winner of game 1 to win the series the vast majority of time (duh., they only need 1 more win) but the number of series even getting to game 3 was insane .

What do we think for NL Game 2's today? I like Phillies and Cubs to even these up.

I like Karl. He's from the Binghamton area so I wouldn't be surprised if he's a Yankees fan. Good friends with Matt Mulcahy the Syracuse broadcaster. I didn't really hear a bias from him though. Plus he's a fellow Ithaca College Bomber, so he's great in my book!
You didn't hear bias? He practically screamed every time a Yankee did anything right. Kind of quiet when the Sox did. I am very happy espn has lost baseball

Fox Sports app is free btw.
Mariners up 2-0. Top 4th

Just showed Sandy Koufax at the Dodgers game. Looking good at 89.
Koufax is one of those guys I wish I had seen. The reverence and awe that my Dad and Grandfather spoke about him was rare indeed. They weren't Dodger fans, didn't know his back story like we do today. It was just pure amazement at his ability and dominance.

Sandy was one of the two best pitchers I ever saw. But remember, he pitched with a higher mound. A bigger strike zone and no DH. Little things as well. They never threw a ball out play back then. Now, if a ball hits the dirt, out it goes.;
