2025 MLB Season

Then why didn't you list him in your projected playoff rotation. Hopefully we can set the rotation with Woo, Gilbert, and maybe Castillo for the WC round.
Well, Castillo's last outing was stellar and prior to last night, Kirby got shelled. Looking to see who's the hottest potential #3 starter in a potential 3 game series.

No offense to judge but he has the mvp locked up.
Wouldn't be surprised if the odds were about even after today. I won't have an issue either way as Judge is ridiculously good.

Surging Seattle only 2 games behind Detroit for the 2 seed and first round bye. Seattle has the tiebreaker

But you have a catcher who might hit 60 homers and hes calling a great game behind the plate. You can give it to judge any year, cal deserves it this year.

It kinda depends what voters prioritize. Almost all statistical measures other than HRs favor Judge. Lots of intangibles favor Cal and he’s close on the measurables.

I’d probably go Raleigh…but it’s not a lock. And it wouldn’t bother me much if Judge won it. My “Six degrees of Kevin Bacon” is that Cal’s brother is good friends with my brother - so Judge winning would bother me a little, but just for that reason.

All.good points, I just feel that no catcher in the history of baseball has hit this many homers, plus his team is probably going to win the division. Judge is having another great year but its not like he is going to wind up with 60 homers.

Raleigh plays in a very difficult park to hit HRs. Previous season high for a Mariner since Safeco opened was 44 HRs. He's an elite defensive catcher closing in on 60 dingers. Having an historic season.

You would think so but two days ago I saw Judge at -900 and Raleigh at +475. That's el loco imo.
It's a different world for post season awards.
Skenes is 10-10 and pretty much a lock.
I've seen Raleigh down 2 in WAR on a site or two. Also down in OBPS a bunch. Really, the only way he can get it is on the feels. 🙃

My comment that Judge is ahead in measurables other than HRs is also why he’s 2 WAR ahead of Raleigh. It’s going to come down to a raw numbers analysis vs “intangibles” (catcher, park he plays in, fact Judge has won a few times already…). In other words - do stats carry the day or “feels”.

6 games left!

Detroit, Houston, and the Mets have all collapsed down the stretch.
The playoff situation seemed pretty "set" back in mid-August in both leagues, and all of those above teams seemed in pretty good positions.

- To signal a challenge, the pitcher, catcher, or batter will tap his hat or helmet to let the umpire know...
