2025 MLB Season

Brewers get it done.

I’d like to see Mariners - Brewers, so we’re guaranteed a first time World Series champion.

I’m expecting we’ll see Dodgers -Blue Jays and I’ll be checking box scores instead of watching.

Mariners steal game 1

Bryce Miller was awesome after the leadoff home run and he's the 5th guy in the rotation, pitching on 3 days rest. My expectations are tempered as always as an Orange and Bills guy.

It seems like the idea that lack of rest will hurt a team doesn't have a lot of recent evidence supporting it. As a Mets fan I was upset they had to play two games last year after the official last day, thinking they'd have nothing left for the WC round. Instead, that launched them on a long run to the NLCS.

The way the playoffs are set up now, momentum may trump rest.

Mariners have never even been to a World Series, which seems crazy with all the talent that's gone through there. So I'm rooting for them. Easy choice.

Was also surprised that the Brewers had only been to one WS. I can remember all those players in the 80s, especially since they were in the AL East back then.

Mariners - Brewers would be a fun watch. Dodgers - Blue Jays would mean it's NHL season.

Since the Mets are out, I am rooting for the Mariners. Good luck!

Three of the four remaining teams didn’t have to play in the wild card round.

was more focused betting football yesterday but I should have known once Toronto stopped playing the Yankees the Jays would go back to normal playoff ABs

Official Rule (MLB):

Rule 5.05(b)(2) says a batter is entitled to first base if hit by a pitch unless:

  1. The pitch is in the strike zone, or
  2. The batter makes no attempt to avoid being touched by the ball.
Yeah I understand the rule and that it’s instinctual to move. But attempt is subjective. Especially when it’s a breaking pitch going at your back foot.

Vlad is 0-7 so far and Yesavage gave up 5 ER in 4 IP because of course.
I did bet the over in Game 2 knowing the Mariners wouldn't let this kid look like a combo of Gibson/Koufax like the Yankees did

Ohtani K to start things off tonight. Rooting for the Brew Crew tonight and a long NLCS.

I agree. Lots of injuries but they still held off the Padres. Everyone is healthy at the right time. The only Dodgers I like are Ohtani and Edman.

Not a Dodger fan but I give them props.

I think the Dodgers are by far the best team this year and will almost surely win it. Maybe the Mariner’s great starters can hold them down?

Yeah and Ohtani and Freeman look like they are getting close to joining the party.
