Freakin heartbreaker
Congrats Blue Jays. Go beat the Dodgers

It feel good as a Blue Jays fan, but I do feel bad for long time Mariners fans who have never had the chance to watch their team play in World Series. Especially this Mariners team which looked so good on paper and had lots of talent.
I had that feeling for a long time. I have been a baseball fan for over 45 years and this is my first year being a "FAN" of a team that made the World Series. By 1992, I hated the Toronto Blue Jays with a passion, so the 1992 and 1993 Blue Jays World Series wins actually bring up bad memories for me, and that will never change. I was a fan of the Expos since my earliest baseball memories in 1981 until their death in 2004. I liked the Jays from about 1983-1990 - then I quickly moved into full on hate mode. I became detached from baseball a bit after 2004, and while I started to slowly casually cheer the Jays around 2009, I didn't fully forgive the franchise until that 2015 season, when I got in to the Jays hard again.
So in my life as a baseball fan, I had:
- 1981. Expos lose in deciding game of the NLCS (Blue Monday)
- 1985 - Jays blow a 3-1 lead in the ALCS and lose to the Royals
- 1987 - Jays blow a 4 game lead last week of the season, by losing last 7 games. (may have a number off there)
- BLEEP 1992 and 1993
- 1994 - Best team in baseball - strike.
- Never actually made the playoffs between 1982 to 2004.
- Team moved to Washington. BLEEP WASHINGTON. BLEEP THE GNATS.
- 2015 and 2016 Jays come short in the ALCS
So it was a long wait to make the World Series.
